Faye Olayo
Faye Olayo
Bio: Faye Olayo is a writer, performer, and story-teller. She is a member of the writers collective Ubbog Cordillera Young Writers and the Baguio Writers Group. Faye’s poetry is a form of autobiography, a reflection of passions, struggles, and triumphs. She writes about what she knows, what she doesn’t know and what she’s learned. She writes about the things that almost killed her. She writes about surviving. She writes about heal- ing. She doesn’t write for a living but she does write to stay alive. Faye has performed at vari- ous events in stages across the Philippines and in South East Asia. She recently headlined JackIt, a monthly performance event in Kuala Lumpur. And because of her work’s subject-topic, she has also performed at the Child Protection Network’s Ako Para Sa Bata International Conference and the National Family Planning Youth Conference.
