Johannes Lichtman

Bio: Johannes Lichtman’s debut novel, Such Good Work, was chosen as a 5 Under 35 honoree by the National Book Foundation. His second novel, Calling Ukraine, will be published in April 2023. His work has appeared in Tin House, The Sun, Travel + Leisure, Los Angeles Review of Books, Oxford American, and elsewhere. The New York Times has called Lichtman a “remarkable thinker,” and novelist and critic, Garth Greenwell notes, "Johannes Lichtman’s great subject is morally compromised idealism, and he brings to it an electric intelligence and an allergy to ready-made judgements.” He lives in Washington, DC, and is currently the Jenny McKean Moore Writer-in-Washington at The George Washington University.
