The Hub, Front Ballroom

RSVP NOW CLOSED

The Alan Cheuse International Writers Center is pleased to present an evening with our first international writer-in-resident, Catalan writer and journalist Toni Sala. Toni will join writer, translator and teacher Roser Caminals-Heath, recently of Hood College, and Head of the Catalan Delegation to the United States, Andrew Davis, to discuss the October referendum on Catalan independence from Spain.

The three panelists all bring unique perspectives to this contentious issue, and, in addition to discussing the referendum from a Catalan perspective, they will also discuss the role of minority cultures and language within a larger geopolitical frame. The discussion will be moderated by Cheuse Center director Matthew Davis.

This event starts at 7:00 in the HUB Ballroom Front
